DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A standoff at a DeKalb County home has ended peacefully after it lasted more than four hours.
Channel 2′s Darryn Moore reported live on Channel 2 Action News This Morning from a home on Rainbow Drive near Columbia Drive that was surrounded by SWAT, bomb squad and DeKalb police.
There were reports of several people inside the home and officers heard shots fired at the home.
A negotiator tried to get the person they were looking for to come out. Officers eventually made their way into the house, but did not find the suspect.
The SWAT team did take one person away in handcuffs. DeKalb police said that person has since been released.
Police later confirmed that they located the suspect. Justin Footman, 35, faces aggravated assault and reckless conduct charges.
