WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — Family members are mourning a mother of two who was shot and killed in Walton County Sunday.
Authorities told Channel 2 Action News police found two people shot when they arrived at 160 Ronthor Drive in Social Circle. A woman died and a man is recovering with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

The victim has been identified as Heather Smith.
Channel 2’s Matt Johnson spoke to the victim's father who was in disbelief.
"I'm a parent, I'm losing a child. You can't explain how you feel about it, until something like that happens," said Aaron Smith.
Social Circle police told Johnson some sort of dispute -- possibly on social media -- led to the deadly shooting in front of several witnesses.
Police arrested a suspect and it is believed this was not a random attack. Police say the suspect lived at the address where the shooting happened.
"The community has been very cooperative, very helpful, it's a shock to them as it is to everybody," said Sgt. James Pilgrim with Social Circle police.
Witnesses said Smith's children are in their prayers.
“She’s leaving behind two kids of her own, I mean, there's no words that can explain how these kids are going to feel in the long run,” witness Michelle Givan said.
For the family of Heather Smith, they say their search for justice and answers is just beginning.
"I want to find out what happened," Aaron Smith said.
