COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A wet winter has delayed construction of the Atlanta Braves’ new ballpark in Cobb County.
But the county manager told Channel 2 Action News that crews will step up the pace once the weather clears. Despite the weather delays, construction is almost halfway finished.

Channel 2 Action News obtained new photos of the progress made on SunTrust Park so far.
This is a look at home plate from the catwalk in right field. You can see several cranes and concrete mixers are on what will eventually become the field.
Work is well underway on what will become the home scoreboard. This is the masonry below it.
Take a look at the lower level concession area where fans will buy hot dogs, peanuts and popcorn.
Workers have installed the structural seating bowl for the terrace level where the seats will go.
And here is the view from outside. You can see the curtain walls are already in place.
SunTrust Park is scheduled to be ready for opening day 2017.
