ATLANTA — Local rappers are helping hundreds of people have a happy Thanksgiving.
Waka Flocka Flame was among those handing out turkeys and canned goods at the Clayton County Courthouse on Sunday.
The giveaway for families in need was a partnership with Sheriff Victor Hill.
Waka Flocka's mother says they look forward to this day every year.

“It's a blessing. Once upon a time, people did this for us. So it's always good when you can give back to other people. It's just a blessing,” mother Debra Antney said.
The goal was to hand out 1,000 turkeys, but at one point Waka Flocka had to go to the store to buy more because so many people showed up.
Some other familiar names from the local music industry, like rapper 2 Chainz, held another turkey giveaway in southwest Atlanta's West End neighborhood.
This is the second year in a row Street Execs Studio held a giveaway for the community.
The giveaway was held in honor of rapper Bankroll Fresh, whose real name was Trentavious Zamon White.
