TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia woman is praising four young men for taking the initiative to find gainful employment instead of succumbing to the pressure to join gangs.
Zsa Zsa Heard, who lists her employment as CEO of LaGrange Housing Authority in Lagrange, Georgia, detailed the incident in a public Facebook post last week.
Heard said four men walked into her office and asked for jobs. She asked them why they wanted jobs, and they said they did not want to get in trouble or join a gang, according to her post.
She said she asked them if they had ever been approached about being in a gang, and they said yes.
She said she hired the four young men on the spot.
She wants people to help empower the young men.
Channel 2 Action News has contacted Heard for further comment.
We’ll update this story as soon as we hear back from her.
