BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Police are searching for two men who a carjacked a woman in McDonald's drive-thru and then led police on a chase.
The victim was sitting in the drive-thru line early Thursday morning in Brookhaven when two men armed with guns walked up to her car, kicked her out of it and drove off. %

“This area’s normally pretty quiet. I’m a little surprised that it happened,” neighbor Ron Walling said.
The gunmen then led Georgia State Patrol on a chase before crashing into a tree on Northside Drive in Atlanta’s Tuxedo Park neighborhood.
“I was woken up to sirens and then a huge crash, boom,” one neighbor said.

The trooper began chasing the car on Buford Highway when the driver wouldn’t pull over for speeding.
“They went all the way on I-85 to North Avenue and then North Avenue to Northside Drive all the way down,” the neighbor said.
Police soon realized it was the same car reported stolen in a carjacking at the Brookhaven McDonald's.
After the crash, police said the two suspects ran from the car and into the woods, getting away from troopers and even the APD's canine unit.
“I looked out the window and instantly there were police cars coming from all directions,” the neighbor said. “It's unbelievable they didn't catch the guys.”
The woman who was carjacked here was not hurt.
Police said they do not have a good description of the suspects. They are checking to see if the surveillance cameras at McDonald's may have captured anything.
