ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons will host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship for a chance to play in the Super Bowl.
The Falcons defeated the Seattle Seahawks 36 to 20 on Saturday, advancing to the NFC championship for only the fourth time in the franchise’s 51-year history.
Green Bay beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 Sunday on a last-second field goal.
Atlanta (12-5) has kept up its strong play over the second half of the season, winning its fifth straight game with another dynamic performance by the league's highest-scoring offense and an impressive effort from the young, rapidly improving defense.
