ATLANTA — Dozens of officers swarmed Club Crucial early Tuesday morning after shots were fired outside the nightclub.
Atlanta police tell Channel 2 Action News that four people were injured inside the club during a fight and that the shooting later outside was likely related to the fight. Three people were taken to the hospital due to broken glass.
Police say when they arrived to respond to the fight they found a man in the parking lot with a rifle. They say that man then fired the gun.
“Security saw another car leaving the scene, with a weapon, possibly firing back at the crowd. Security returned fire. Multiple cars were hit throughout the parking lot and across the street. I believe a total of five cars,” said Capt. Cliff Johnson.
Authorities say no one was hit by gunfire.
Police had shut down Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway at one point. The road has since been open.
