ATLANTA — Atlanta police along with Atlanta Fire and Rescue are investigating an early morning vehicle fire that left one person dead and another in the hospital.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on Langford Parkway (SR 166) east and the ramp to I-75 south. Firefighters arrived to find the car burning with two people inside.
They were able to rescue one of the people in the car. That person was injured and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. The other person was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Langford Parkway ramp to I-75 remains closed at this time while the incident is under investigation.
