ATLANTA — Two bodies were found in a car in southwest Atlanta Saturday afternoon.
An apartment manager discovered the bodies of a man and a woman in the backseat of a Kia sedan at the Retreat at Marketplace on Fairburn Road.
Police said the bodies showed signs of decomposition.

The bodies were found around 1 p.m., but it is unclear how long they had been there.
"The state of decomposition is what really caused us some problems with trying to find injuries and identification," Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton said.
Investigators searched the car and interviewed neighbors for clues. One neighbor said the car had been parked in the same spot for up to two weeks.
"For nobody to walk by and notice that, it's real scary. Right here in our own neighborhood where we live at," neighbor Lisa White said.
No one reported hearing any gunshots, but neighbors are still on edge.
"You gotta be careful everywhere. I know over in this area they said it was safe, and I believe it is safe, but where are you safe anywhere?" one neighbor said.
Neighbors said they heard gun shot Tuesday night, but police have not said if it's related.
Police have not announced a cause of death. They hope to have more information after an autopsy is performed, which could be as soon as Sunday.
