Police: Man killed in robbery after leaving Atlanta club

ATLANTA — Police are investigating after they said a body was found in a parking lot.

The body was found in the 500 block of Whitehall Street in Atlanta.

Fulton County sheriff’s officials said they found a man dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.

A witness said that he and the victim had just left a nearby club when a man with a gun attempted to rob them. During the robbery, the suspect shot the victim one time, and left the scene, sheriff’s officials said.

The shooting is still under investigation.
