ATLANTA — A man is dead after a burglar shot him inside his apartment on Monday in east Atlanta.
Homicide detectives gave Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez surveillance video of a man they are trying to identify.
The man, who's dressed in plain clothes, was captured on a resident's camera walking down a hallway, at the Alexan EAV apartments, where the victim was shot to death.
Police are not calling him a suspect for now, they're saying they just want to find him so they can ask him some questions.
The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. at the complex on Metropolitan Avenue.
Police say the victim had just come home during the lunch hour with a friend and when he opened the door, the burglar was already inside of his unit.
They say a struggle ensued and the victim, who is in his 20s, was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

"It appears the victim’s home was burglarized. And he actually came home and encountered the perpetrator,” said Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton.
