North Georgia could see some wintry weather this weekend.
Meteorologist Karen Minton says there is a chance of snow in metro Atlanta and across north Georgia Friday evening into Saturday.
Temperatures will drop below freezing Friday night as cold air settles in.
By Friday night into Saturday, it is likely that metro Atlanta will see some freezing rain and/or accumulating snow.

Minton says it’s too soon to determine the specific locations that will see snow and the amounts.

The snow is possible through Saturday morning. Lows will be in the 20s Saturday and Sunday. The sun will return Sunday, but the cold will remain, with a high of around 40 degrees.
