Surveillance video captures terrifying armed robbery at Buckhead restaurant

ATLANTA — Police are searching for two men who robbed a popular Buckhead restaurant at gunpoint.

Two employees at Houston’s on Peachtree Road were taking out the trash last week around midnight when they were approached by the gunmen, who were both wearing black ski masks.

The employees told police that before forcing them back inside, the gunmen asked for their cellphones. They also asked how many people were inside the restaurant and if there was a police officer on duty.

Once inside, the gunmen told them to sit on the floor along a wall in the back of the restaurant while they went to the back office, where employees were counting the money made from the day.

Surveillance video shows one gunman holding the gun to a woman’s head as she opens the safe and gives him the money.

The gunmen then ran out the back door of the restaurant and jumped into a dark SUV. Employees quickly pressed the silent alarm and called 911.

Police were able to recover two of the three cellphones by pinging one of them.

The gunmen took $2,500 from the safe and $8,000 in earnings from the day.
