Online banking for Truist customers back up after 2-hour outage, bank says

ATLANTA, Ga. — Truist Bank users reported online outages to Channel 2 Action News Friday.

A metro Atlanta Truist Bank official confirmed with Channel 2 Action News that all online banking services were down.

“Online and mobile banking are temporarily unavailable. Thanks for your patience—we’re working to be back up and running shortly,” the bank posted online.

The bank confirmed around 2 p.m. that the systems were down for two hours, but are back up and running.

“Earlier this morning, our mobile and online banking services were unavailable for approximately two hours, and we apologize to our clients for the inconvenience this caused. The technical issue has now been resolved and clients have access to mobile and online banking,” Truist wrote in a statement.

The cause of the outage is still under investigation.
