POLK COUNTY, Ga. — Agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Polk County Police Department are investigating the death of a 21-month-old girl.
Emergency crews were called out to the home on Adamson Drive Saturday night to a child not breathing. The girl, Ella Pointer, was taken to Polk County Medical Center in Cedartown then airlifted to Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Egelston.
The girl died on Sunday at about 4:46 p.m.
The death of Ella has spread on social media with the hashtag #JusticeForElla.

No arrests have been made in connection with Ella's death.
Her family wants other parents to hug their children every day.
"Anybody that's got children, just be careful, just love them and be careful and watch after them,” great-grandmother Dorothy Garner said.
Police say they are awaiting autopsy results before any other information can be released.
