ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned the GBI is responding to an officer-involved shooting in Atlanta.
Police say the shooting happened at a home on Linkwood Road Northwest.
The crime scene developed when a woman living at the home called 911 after authorities said she was scared after realizing one of the windows of her home had been shattered.
A source told Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez there were some prior incidents that made investigators suspicious that an estranged family member was possibly located inside the house. Atlanta police officers swarmed the neighborhood and attempted to make their way inside.

The person was shot by a SWAT team member.
The suspect was hit in the stomach and rushed to the hospital, authorities said.
Investigators told Channel 2 Action News their investigators could be at the scene into the night and possibly through the early morning hours. They say, the extensive search is based on the case and the size of the home.
