CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — It took Cherokee County deputies only minutes to track down two shooting suspects after a short police that chase ended with a crash.

The victims, Gary Hart, 27, of Canton, Chaz Hart, 25, of Canton and Jermaine Gay, 39, of Canton where transported to local hospitals with what appeared to be non-life threatening gunshot wounds to the face, knee, and hip.

Channel 2 Action News has obtained previous mug shots of the suspects, brothers Craig and Courtney Pitts. Both are also in the hospital after crashing their car.

The shooting took place outside a home on Canton Street a little before 9 p.m. Saturday.

The Sheriff's Office says they don't know if the suspects got out, or shot from the car, but there was a large group of people outside the home.

The victims gave a good description of the car the suspects were in. Minutes later, a deputy spotted the Ford Mustang nearby, but it took off.

After a short chase, the suspects crashed head-on into a power pole

Investigators are working to determine a motive for the shooting, but say they are very familiar with the location.

"The cut is a well-known location for drug sales," Jay Baker said. "Not saying specifically that's what was going on there tonight. That's something they'll be looking into."

The Pitts brothers are in custody at the hospital.

They have yet to be charged.
