Missing Cobb County father found safe

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Update: Channel 2's Ross Cavitt confirmed that Joshua Ryan was found and is no longer missing.

A Cobb County family is asking for the public's help in finding a father of three missing since late last week.

Joshua Ryan, 38, left his wife and children on Thursday night. He told them he was meeting someone to sell a restaurant gift card so that he could raise some money to buy Christmas gifts for their three kids, a newborn son and two girls, ages 1 and 3.

Three days later, Kimberly Ryan said she is fearing the worst.

"He went out to do something for his kids and he got jumped for it,” she said.

She says she just wants answers.

"His mom's birthday was yesterday and that's the thing that really got all of us, that his mom did not get a phone call. That's not at all normal because he would talk with her almost every day on the phone because they are very close,” Kimberly Ryan said.

The missing person’s poster has now bounced back and forth across social media and Cobb police are investigating. They said they have found no signs of foul play, but are looking into why or how the father of three young kids simply vanished.

“My husband's one of those trustworthy guys,” Kimberly Ryan said.

She says she didn’t ask him where he was going, and he never came home.

His phone died Saturday and there’s been nothing since.

“My concern is he's just hurt somewhere alone, not able to move and that's what's worrying me the most,” Kimberly Ryan said.

Joshua Ryan left home in his white Toyota Sequoia SUV with black tires. Anyone with information is asked to call the Cobb County Police.
