Thieves steal from military members at Six Flags

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police are looking for whoever stole from a group of military members and spouses during Military Appreciation Day at Six Flags.

The military group traveled to the amusement park from southeast Georgia on Saturday, when military families were welcomed into the park for free.

But while they were enjoying a fun day at the park, several thieves broke into their locker, stealing car keys, military IDs, phones and cash among other items.

“I just kind of stood there in shock,” victim Trini Pacleb said. “We were just stripped of everything, of all identity,”

Brent Pacleb is in the Georgia Army National Guard and traveled from Brunswick with his family.

The Paclebs were sharing the locker with four other friends and relatives.

“You took away from my family, then people I was there with. You know it's my job as a husband, and as a father to take care of the ones around me,” Brent Pacleb said.

It took the Paclebs an extra day to get back to their home because their car keys were stolen.

It's unclear if the thieves knew who they were stealing from, but the Paclebs say they hope they're caught.

“It's just disheartening that these types of things have to occur and happen to anybody but then to military personnel who serve our country,” Trini Pacleb said.

Cobb County police confirmed to Channel 2’s Matt Johnson that the suspects in this case are juveniles.

A Six Flags spokesperson said they are working closely with police to help find the stolen items. They also the say the victims are welcome back any time for free as special guests.
