COBB COUNTY, Ga. — New developments have surfaced in the search for a man in the hunt for a man wanted in the death of an Iraq War veteran.
The search for Brad Clement is now in its fifth day.
Cobb County police tell Channel 2's Justin Wilfon the Cobb County Sheriff's Office along with the U.S. Marshals Service now lead the search for Clement, who initially agreed to turn himself in last Friday but didn't show up.
Just a few days earlier, Cobb police say they found the body of Massner, buried in the backyard of Clement’s former home in Kennesaw.
In the northeast Atlanta neighborhood where Clement lived with his mother, his car still sits in the driveway, but he remains on the run.

“I’m completely shocked. Completely scared and thinking about my kids and how I probably need to rein them in a little closer,” neighbor Pam Mason said.
The people who live in this neighborhood can’t believe their neighbor is now a fugitive wanted in the death of his friend, Iraq war veteran Chase Massner.
“I hope everyone else in the neighborhood is aware of their surroundings. Like I said, it feels like a safe neighborhood but it’s good to just be alert,” said neighbor Olivia Sloan.
Massner vanished in 2014 after visiting Clement at his home. Neighbors say Clement always maintained his innocence.
Authorities are revealing few details about where they’re searching for Clement, but his Atlanta neighbors believe it’s likely he’s now far away from here.
“I don’t think this would be the place he would show up, but thinking about that I still will keep a closer tab on my kids,” Mason said.
