COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County bank where a SWAT standoff suspect held two workers hostage last week, is now open for business for the first time.
Wednesday was the first day of getting back to normal for the staff at the Wells Fargo location along Windy Hill Road, which was the scene of a terrifying standoff for everyone involved.
The suspect died in the incident.
Channel 2’s Matt Johnson spoke with customers who said employees at the bank are doing their best to move on.
“They seem more relaxed than I thought it would be. They seemed all right though,” customer Kyle Pratt told Johnson.

But others noticed a different mood inside the branch where a Cobb County police officer shot and killed Brian Easley, 33.
“I would say they're being more alert than anything,” customer Deon Carter said.
Easley called the Channel 2 Action News newsroom on Friday to say he was holding two hostages inside the and that he had explosives.
The Cobb County police chief told us an officer took a window of opportunity to end the standoff.
Customers say it's hard to fault the officer who fired the shot.

“If they feel like it was a necessary, I think it's really up to them to decide on that matter,” Pratt told Johnson.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said authorities found no explosives on Easley, but customers understand if the hostages involved don't want to come back.
“They can lose their life at any time with someone going on like that. What if he really did have a bomb? You never know what could really happen,” Carter said.
The case remains under a GBI investigation.
