COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County woman said she is heartbroken after burglars broke into her home.
The crooks broke into the home on Susan Drive on April 19 and got away with a TV, a vacuum cleaner and other items. But the most important thing that was taken, she says, was the woman's little dog, Sassy, an 8-year-old Shih Tzu.
Family members say the theft of Sassy has just devastated them.
"They took my little dog. And I don't care about anything else that was taken. All that matters to me is Sassy. I just want to get her back," Vivian Sims told Channel 2's Tom Jones.
Sims said she broke down when she got home that day and saw her dog Khan, but not Sassy.
“I just ran around screaming for her and I came back up here and her bed was gone,” she said.

Sassy’s bed and toys were missing, and Sims can’t understand who would steal her dog.
“Someone with no heart. Someone with no soul. I don’t understand at all,” she said.
She has passed out flyers and checked dog shelters, but has seen no sign of her beloved dog.
Her message to the thieves: “I forgive you. If you can, just bring her back, no questions asked.”
Sims filed a police report, but said there is not much police can do.
She’s leaving food and water on the patio just in case the thieves decide to do the right thing and bring Sassy back.
