GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Hundreds of students, teachers, friends, and family members held a candlelight vigil on Monday for three high schoolers killed in a crash on Friday.
“It’s everyone coming together and celebrating the lives of Naseer, Nelson and Brandon,” said a friend of the trio, Mateo Hernandez.

Naseer Alwahkeel, 16, Nelson Umazor, 18, and Brandon Martinez, 18, died in a crash after Friday night’s football game at Meadowcreek High School.
A fourth friend, Mesiah Allen, 17, survived and is still in the hospital.
Channel 2 Action News was at the vigil on Monday night.
The trio's lacrosse coach told Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez the pain he feels is unbearable.
“Life without them now isn’t going to be the same,” said Jalan Goodman.
A sad reality fellow students, friends and family are now forced to face.
But everyone takes solace in knowing the teens made an impact on other people's lives in their short time that they were here.
"They were very involved in their school and they always gave their all. Long live Nelson, Brandon and Naseer," said a friend of the students.
