DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Two men will spend at least the next 15 years in prison for a 2015 shooting that paralyzed a Navy veteran.
Laquan Taylor, 25, was shot during a robbery at a Kroger on Moreland Avenue in DeKalb County. Javon Ross and Victor Moore were later arrested. %

Taylor's family and the district attorney agreed Tuesday afternoon to a plea deal for Ross and Moore.
Previously, Taylor's family said they were upset over the possibility of the suspects being set free due to procedural errors made during the arrest.
The family says prosecutors informed them of errors in the case involving fingerprint evidence, missing witness statements and Miranda rights readings that made confessions void, leading to motions for evidence suppression, and a plea deal rather than a chance for Taylor to testify at trial.
The judge said that if Taylor couldn't come to an agreement with prosecutors, she would have ordered a trial.
After a quick meeting and more negotiation, Taylor agreed to a new deal: 30 years, 15 to serve, in prison.
"Nothing can give me back the life I had before this horrible evening, but seeing justice served will certainly give me a sense of closure," Taylor said.
