DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A child and two dogs were rescued from an apartment fire in Dunwoody.
Flames tore through the Dunwoody Village Apartments Sunday afternoon.
A resident was out on a walk, smelled smoke and flagged down another neighbor who jumped into action.
“We just saw a bunch of fire and flames and we just tried to get all the fire extinguishers everybody had and tried to evacuate everybody,” neighbor Martin Salas said.

There was no one in the fiery apartment, but they did get the boy and dogs out of a nearby apartment.
Firefighters said no one was injured in the fire.
