DeKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities in DeKalb County are asking for the public’s help in locating two missing 14-year-old girls.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said Destiny Hamerson and Thalia Mune-Ath have been missing since Tuesday. They were last seen at Towers High School in Decatur.

Tina Mune said both girls left their phones at home, and her daughter was supposed to pick up her baby niece from the babysitter’s after school but she never showed up.
“She was supposed to pick up the baby from the babysitter’s and it never happened because she never came home,” Tina Mune said.

Tina Muna said school officials told them the girls left school during the last period on Tuesday. She said it appears the girls are checking Facebook messages and not replying.
Both girls have pierced ears. Thalia’s hair was dyed blonde when she was last seen.
