Police: Woman lured man into robbery using Craigslist

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police say Autumn Bailey used Craigslist, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to lure her victims so she could rob them with the help of an accomplice.

U.S. marshals arrested Bailey, 28, Friday along with Jezlias Maysonet. Brookhaven police say they're both from Cleveland, Georgia.

Investigators say she lured a man using a Craigslist dating ad.

"Our male victim actually contacted her because she had put an ad in reference to seeking a long-term relationship," Carlos Nino with the Brookhaven Police Department said.

Police say the relationship ended quickly on March 16 when the two met at the Courtyard Atlanta Executive Park in Brookhaven and got a hotel room.

Detectives say Bailey told her date they could not have a paper trail, so he would have to pay for the room in cash.

"So our male victim laid the cash down in the seat next to him, and there was a male companion with Autumn Bailey that actually snatch the money," Nino said.

Police say the man was Maysonet.

Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta says the victim ran after the suspects, recorded their license plate number, and reported the pair had stolen $140 from him.

According to Crime Stoppers, Bailey was at it again three days later in Duluth. The organization believes she was targeting married men.

Investigators believe there could be more victims out there. If so, contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
