Delta Air Lines is waiving certain change fees for travelers scheduled to fly to, from or through Atlanta on Friday, in advance of the threat of snow.
Travelers who want to make a one-time change to their flight plans can switch to different flights by Dec. 11.
The airline is also advising travelers to check their flight status frequently and sign up for mobile or e-mail flight notifications.
Those who want to cancel their trips due to a flight cancellation or delay of 90 minutes or more can get a refund for the unused portion of their ticket.
"If you wish to cancel your trip as a result of a flight cancellation or significant delay (90 minutes or more), you are entitled to a refund for the unused portion of your ticket. Even if your flight is not canceled, you may make a one-time change to your ticket without fee if you are scheduled to travel to, from, or through the following destination(s) on Delta, Delta Connection®, or Delta-coded flights during the specified time periods listed below."
