PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — Local departments are sending their condolences to Putnam County after police said two correctional officers were shot and killed by two inmates who escaped.
The inmates are identified by police as Ricky Dubose, 24, and Donnie Russell Rowe, 43.
Dubose is described as a white male, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing 140 pounds. Rowe is described as a white male, also standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing 181 pounds.

According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, the inmates stole a green 2004 Honda Civic, GA tag RBJ6601.
They are armed with the officer's .40 caliber Glock pistol, according to sheriff's officials. They got off the prison bus and carjacked another driver, sheriff's officials said.

The slain Baldwin State Prison Correctional officers were identified as Christopher Monica and Curtis Billue.
