BUTTS COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Mark Winne has learned that an arrest warrant has been issued for Jackson police Officer Sherry Hall.
Earlier this month, Hall said she was shot by an unidentified man while on duty. Winne has learned that investigators suspect this may not have happened as she claimed.

Winne has learned that Hall is accused of making false statements and writings, concealment of facts, evidence tampering, violation of oath and more.
“I would like to thank the citizens of this community for trusting and believing that we would do the right thing,” said Jackson police Chief James Morgan.
Morgan says authorities are stopping short of saying she shot herself, but the GBI told him her bulletproof vest was struck by a bullet.
