FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — An 11-month-old shot by her father during a SWAT standoff has died.
The three hour standoff happened Monday at a home on Carleen Court in south Forsyth County.
Officers said a woman called 911 from a neighbor's house and said her husband, Salman Ashraf, 34, threatened her and their daughter with a gun.

After hours of negotiation, the SWAT team entered the house and heard the infant making noises. They found Ashraf dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The baby was shot and SWAT medics began treating her immediately. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and then airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.
She died from her injuries Thursday.
The child's mother was not injured in the incident and is staying with family.
