They believe he ditched the truck in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot before carjacking the woman at around 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Deputies found the woman’s stolen Toyota RAV4 about a mile away, in the Riverwalk Landing subdivision, and found a fingerprint on it matching Alford’s.
Witnesses told investigators they had seen Alford get into a blue BMW 325i.
Deputies said a woman was driving the BMW and likely knew Alford.
Residents in the area were surprised to hear about the crime. “I’ve never heard of that kind of thing happening in this area. We’ve got multi million-dollar homes over here,” said Cody Brinkman.
