GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Officials with Gwinnett County Schools have taken disciplinary action against six high school students accused of violating school rules.
The district told Channel 2 Action News that the Parkview students -- who were charged with sexual misconduct -- were at school, snuck away from campus and did something to get them in trouble and returned to campus.
Multiple students told Channel 2's Tony Thomas that those involved are athletes. The school spokesperson would not confirm this.
“Honestly, their careers are ruined after that. There’s not much you can do after that. You can’t recover,” student Abdullah Ali said.

Parkview students said this was the discussion around campus on Monday.
“They got into something with some girls or something,” student Quentin Harris said.
School officials said students are typically suspended pending a disciplinary panel.
A school spokesperson said this involved disciplinary charges, not criminal. But officials did not directly respond when Thomas asked if any police investigation was underway.
