GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Jurors will continue deliberating the fate of a man accused of kidnapping a woman from Walmart and raping her on Monday.
Manny Dupree says he met the victim at a Lawrenceville store in 2013 for drugs.
The woman says surveillance video shows her attacker kidnapping her from the parking lot at knifepoint.
On the stand Thursday, he said what witnesses described as an attack was really him trying to give a friend a hug.
"I was just going to catch up with her because she called me to get drugs from her," Dupree said.
He says the woman offered him money for sex, which he accepted.
After hours of deliberations, the jurors were sent home Friday evening.
