2 children killed in Hall County crash

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a single-car crash that killed two children in Hall County.

The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. Sunday on GA 60 in Gainesville.

The Georgia State Patrol said the driver of the car, Sabrina McConnell, 25, of Hall County, was trying to negotiate a left curve when she traveled off the road before overcorrecting and traveling across the center line.

She then overcorrected again and drove off the road and hit a tree. Authorities said the car rolled down an embankment and overturned.

Two children, a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy, were killed in the crash.

Hall and two other passengers in the car, John Wayne Gibbs III, 25, and Ashley Rose, 21, both of Walton County were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with injuries.

Authorities said charges have not been made because the investigation has not been completed.
