HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Hall County sheriff’s office deputies are investigating after two people were found shot dead inside a home Thursday morning.
Deputies arrived at a home on Third Street in Chicopee Village around 9:30 a.m.
They found Robert Troy Phillips, 45, and his wife Heather Phillips, 42, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Troy Phillips is a former Hall County commission candidate.
A co-worker went to the home after he was unable to reach Troy Phillips. He forced his way inside and found the couple dead in their living room.
Officials have not determined who is responsible for the deaths.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that there was a dispute between the husband and wife Wednesday night.
Neighbors who have known the couple for 15 years said they are good people, but had some marital issues.
Police said they are investigating the case as a double homicide.
