ATLANTA — We will get a break from the rain Tuesday but flood watches and warning remains for many parts of Georgia -- and another round of rain is in the forecast Wednesday.
A flood watch has been issued through 7 a.m. Thursday for most of north Georgia. Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Karen Minton says to expect an additional 3-5 inches of rain by Thursday morning.

The heavy rain has already caused flooding through north Georgia and is being blamed for two deaths in Gordon County.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning late Monday night for Intrenchment Creek near southeast Atlanta until just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The weather service said the creek had risen to 11.1 feet, just over the flood stage, and was still rising.
“[The rain] is going to add to the problems of the creeks, streams and rivers in the area. Flooding again, in some cases, the water won’t have had time to recede until we get the next round of weather coming into the area,” Minton said
