OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Oconee County sheriff’s office says units responded to a runaway llama near Athens.
According to the sheriff’s office, the llama was spotted around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday on the GA 10 Loop near Exit 1.
The llama was rounded up at the Cookout on Epps Bridge Parkway by deputies and llama experts, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office said the llama belongs to a resident of Oconee County who came to haul the llama away in a van.
Units are responding to a runaway llama on the 10 Loop near exit 1. We can't make this stuff up.
