A U.S. Marshals Service fugitive squad found him early Thursday sleeping in a truck, parked behind a house on Metropolitan Parkway. A gun was also found within his reach, but police say he never had time to grab for it because they took him by surprise.
Chester was arrested without incident after 12 days of searching.
Police say he's refused to cooperate in the investigation or answer their questions.
Chester was scheduled to make his first appearance in front of a judge inside the jail at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, but waived that right and will be held without bail.
