GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Lawrenceville Highway was shut down for hours Tuesday morning after a motorcyclist was hit and killed in a crash.
Police say the motorcyclist, identified as 42-year-old Thomas Baptiste, was traveling southbound when he was struck by a northbound car turning left onto Summer Ridge Lane.
Baptiste died at the scene.
The driver of the car was not physically injured but was transported to the hospital for monitoring.
There is no word on charges.
