ROSWELL, Ga. — A local car dealership got an unexpected visitor after a deer dashed into a Nalley Lexus dealership in Roswell.
A worker captured video of the deer as it ran through the showroom and customer-service area.
The service manager at Nalley Lexus Roswell on Mansell Road told Channel 2’s Tom Regan that employees take pride in giving a warm welcome to all of their customers.
But what walked through the entrance the other day wasn't an easy embrace.
“I heard the commotion just outside. I saw a deer running by. Honestly, my first thought was it was a dog," service manager Chad Duncan told Regan.
Duncan showed Regan how the animal wandered in through the garage doors Wednesday afternoon.
The panicked animal then darted in and around the customer lounge area.

Valet Eric Ridings pulled out his cellphone to capture what was sure to be a memorable moment.
“I never saw anything like that before. We’ve had a chipmunk before, that was about it,” Ridings told Regan.
The service manager and others tried their best to corral the frightened animal, who several times tried to jump through a bay window and skidded across the tile floor.
“We had quite a few customers climb on top of our cafe. Some you can see in the video ducking and hiding behind stuff,” Duncan said. “My first thought and only thought was to keep her away from everybody as much as I possibly could."
After a lot of arm flailing, Duncan and his colleagues were finally able to guide the deer out to an exit door, which she pushed open on her own, and dashed to freedom.
“I don't think anyone who was here that day will forget about this for a long time,” Duncan said.
The deer didn’t do any damage. This is actually the second time an incident like this happened at the dealership.
Just last year, a 2-year-old buck entered the service area but left before causing any commotion.
Take a look at this unexpected visitor we welcomed into our dealership recently after he jumped in through an open window. The little guy made it out perfectly safe, but he still has not returned any of our follow up sales calls...
