JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Johns Creek police are searching for a trio of thieves they say distracted an elderly woman at a grocery store long enough to steal her wallet and go on a spending spree.
Surveillance video from inside the Publix shows Judy Hoffman shopping for vegetables in late June. As a man kept her attention, the video shows another man crouch down to rummage through her purse.
The two left the store with another person acting as their counter surveillance.

"I can not believe I didn't know there was a man down there for 30 seconds going through my purse," said Judy Hoffman, the victim in this case.
She spoke to Channel 2's Mike Petchenik Thursday saying she didn't see anything to alarm her at the time of the incident.
"I hope they go to jail and I hope they get some sort of publicity to where people know who they are," she said.
Detective Tyler Seymour says the two men and a woman, who served as a lookout, went on a shopping spree with Hoffman's credit card charging upwards of $2,000 in credit card bills at a nearby Target.
Police say they have some leads but they need help identifying the trio in the pictures the surveillance video captured.
If you have any information on the case, police ask you to give them a call at 678-474-1600.
