PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — The GBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving a man accused of pointing a rifle at police.
Officers say they confronted the man, who is in his 20s, along the Silver Comet Trail in Paulding County Wednesday afternoon.
Police say when he stood up the officers ordered him to drop his rifle.
Instead, police say he waved it in the air, and pointed it towards them.

That's when a Dallas police officer shot him.
"From what we've been able to uncover a Dallas police officer did fire an unknown amount of rounds at the male suspect,” Sgt. Ashley Henson said.
The suspect is now in surgery.
