ATHENS, Ga. — Athens-Clarke County police said a decomposed body was found in the North Oconee River Tuesday night.
The body was located near North Avenue and Martin Luther King Parkway in Athens.

Police are working to determine the person's identity and the circumstances surrounding the person's death.
Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma or criminal activity.
