Death investigation underway after man shot multiple times in northwest Atlanta

ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in northwest Atlanta.

On Wednesday night, Atlanta officers were called out to the 1000 block of Westmoor Drive Northwest in response to reports of a person shot.

According to APD, officers arrived at the scene to find a man who had been shot multiple times around 9:23 p.m.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel.

Police are still working to gather more details about what led to the shooting.

At this time, there are no details on a suspect and the victim has not been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
