PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a homicide at a home in Paulding County.
Deputies went just before 6 a.m. to investigate at a home in the 4000 block on Hiram Sudie Road in Hiram.
Beth Harris, 39, was found dead. Detectives said her husband, Charles Harris, 36, found her when he came home from work and called 911.
"A very rough scene to be a part of," Paulding County sheriff's Sgt. Ashley Henson said.
Authorities are looking for a person of interest, Derek Jess Renfroe, 32, who they say rented a room at the home.
Investigators said no one has been eliminated as a suspect. They said the key is to find Renfroe.

"At this point we don't know if he's armed and dangerous. We're just trying to locate him to find out what he knows about this, if he's responsible, if he's involved or if he wasn't there at all, so we've got to try to figure all that out," Henson said.
Neighbors said they were shocked to find out Beth Harris had been killed.
"She's a sweet girl. She didn't do drugs. She didn't drink. Her and her husband got along good. She was just a good person," neighbor Sherry Brown said.
Investigators are advising neighbors in the Hiram area to remain vigilant while they search for the person of interest.
