People rescued after cars submerged in water following rain

ATLANTA — Strong storms were moving slowly across north Georgia.

Channel 2 Action News received pictures of cars stuck in rising water in DeKalb County.

Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz reported there was street flooding at Northlake Parkway and Crescent Center.

The DeKalb Emergency Center said people were rescued from two cars there.

Temperatures will be in the low 80s in Atlanta along the front. West of the front will see mid-80s; east of the front will have mid-to-upper 70s.

There is another chance for rain on Wednesday but that clears out for the rest of the week. The forecast calls for possibly strong storms on Sunday.
