Several school districts held dismissal as severe weather moved through.

Forsyth and Fayette county schools delayed dismissal for its elementary schools and others as needed. Forsyth County said all its schools were on a weather-related lockdown.

DeKalb County schools and City schools of Decatur also delayed its dismissal until the threat passed. DeKalb County schools said all after-school activities are canceled Wednesday.

Fulton County schools sent a message to all parents saying elementary schools and other schools as needed will be holding dismissal until the threat passes. They announced just after 2:30 p.m. that all elementary school students were being released.

Three confirmed tornados touched down Wednesday afternoon – one in Carroll County, one in Fulton and Cobb counties and one in north Fulton and Forsyth counties.

Severe Weather Team 2 also tracked a possible rotation in Forsyth and Clarke counties Wednesday afternoon.
