SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A Pre-K teacher is under investigation for allegedly hurting a 4-year-old boy when she dragged him out of class.
The boy’s parents said the teacher was upset because he wouldn’t go down for a nap.
The incident happened Oct. 4 at Heritage Elementary School in College Park.
“He said, ‘She grabbed me off of my mat and dragged me down the hallway just like this,’” said the boy’s mother, Indira Cox.
The frustrated parents filed complaints with the school and wrote an email to the board of education.
“They told us to write a witness statement. There will be an investigation and DFCS will be called,” Cox said.

Channel 2's Chris Jose contacted the Fulton County school system about the allegations. He was sent a statement that said, "There is little we can share other than that the allegation is being investigated."
Cox believes her complaints got her son, Jaycion, kicked out of school.
“I can only assume she got notified because the very next day, she gives us a call to let us know that he can no longer be in the classroom that he’s in now,” she said.
Jaycion's parents claim the administrators told them the other Pre-K class was full and their son cannot come back.
Now, they are scrambling to find another school.
“What did the child do to deserve that? Because he didn’t want to take a nap?” Cox said.
The parents said their son has not been in school for more than two weeks. They said they have not gotten an answer on the results of the investigation.
